Using a smart water meter enables greater understanding of water use patterns. It also means leaks and other problems can be rapidly identified and dealt with. Smart metering often pays for itself many times over.
Paul was responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring aspects of Lake Macquarie City Council’s smart metering program. The program now has smart meters at over 40 sites.
Over five years the savings from Lake Macquarie City Council’s smart metering program are more than 125 megalitres (125 million litres) of water and over than $300,000 in avoided water costs.
